can you replace asbestos flues?

My floor standing potterton kingfisher 2 boiler has a flue made from an asbestos material which is damaged and needs replacing. My gas fitter tells me you cannot replace the flue and I must fit a new boiler. Is this the case

The flue is easily replaced but take advise and care on removing the existing asbestos flue
