2 way gang switch problem?

replaced wire for 2 way gang switch for hall and outside light,outside light will not operate no matter which way wires are in,common or l1 or l 2both sides,hall light fine but problem with outside light.Bulb is fine.What am I doing wrong

I agree with Bright spark sounds like you have no feed. Just a simple piece of wire brown sleeved of course between them

Hard to say for certain with such a brief description... but Im guessing you havnt got a feed to the switch for the outside light. If the incoming 'feed' is fed to the hall way switch terminals then there is no 'link' to the second gang switch (outside light). Take a little bit of the brown core and place a link from the permanant live (of hall swich) to the common (of the outside) Good luck...
