remove files from c drive to another drive?

My pc has a c drive but this is almost full. I have installed a new drive and have reloaded lots of programs on to this. the c drive does not seem to empty much. I have tried deleting files from drive via explorer but it will not let me in all cases. I have also deleted via add/remove programmes route. Any ideas as to how to identify and remove to create additional space. (have done defrag, clean up etc regularly.)

If there was only one drive in the computer originally then the default virtual memory will be set to that drive as well as the file management and system cache. Normally all of this information is hidden system files that cannot be seen unless specific instruction ask for the details to be shown.
Some of the hidden files can be moved to another drive, but often the operating system protection has to be disabled to achieve this, which is a dangerous thing to play around with if you do not know what you are doing.
The same goes for moving files of any kind from one drive to another many types cannot and should not be moved.
Your own personal Documents,Pictures,Video and Music can be stored in another drive however, create New Folders on the new drive then find your Personal stuff and cut then Paste all your own, Documents,Pictures,Video and Music there.
