How can i fix my Technics Amp? ?

How can i fix my Technics Amp? The left channel cuts out occasionally. It was in storage for a number years.
When both channels are functioning, which is about 80-90% of the time, it sounds fine.

I would appreciate any help.

this will most likely be due to the selector switches.

operate all controlls and selectors an number of times to clean them.

even if you dont normally change the setting

move it through the settings in both directions and then put it back to the setting you need

this will clean the contacts of the swithes and should restore operation.

the other cause could be bad contacts on the relays in the start up circuit.

they may need cleaning or replacing.

the control switches have probably got dirty due to non use in storage.

hope this helps
