does the boiler recognise ch demand, ie radiator light coming on? does the boiler fire? does it ignite and go out?
if it does not even recognise demand what timer do you have, mechanical ones are very un-reliable so you could try isolating power and linking mechanical timer out if thats whats fitted (3&4)
