My Sagem box worked fine for two days after having been switched off for 3 months until the machine suggested I was missing lots of new channels. Press the green button it said and hey presto, cant get any itv channels no matter how many times I re-programm. Can anyone help a complete technophobe with limited brain cells?

You need to check your aerial and aerial connectors. An indoor aerial or a loft aerial are unlikely to work, it needs to be of the outdoor type.
