wallpaper on wallpaper!?

Hi, I have stupidly put up wallpaper from different batch numbers and although it doesn't look so bad, i am noticing it more and more. I have managed to get the same wallpaper free as the shop i got it from accepted responsibility for the problem. Now the problem is whether i can wallpaper on top of the wrong wallpaper or do i need to start again (which would be hassle) The wallpaper has a sheen to it and i'm afraid the new wallpaper will fall off. Has anyone done that before with no problems? Help!?!?!?

I felt particularly bone idle one day and decided to paper over the old one but it didn't work and started pulling away at the corners and gapping,so in the end the whole lot had to come down...hope you have better luck than me.
Good luck.

the new wallpaper wont fall off but will peel at the edges in time. best to start again. removing wallpaper is easy as long as you use plenty of water. scratch the surface with a knife
and soak it. If it dont come off easily then soak it some more. Give at least 10 mins to soak, have a cuppa.

Years ago you could do this and then along came washable papers with a sort of membrane on the outside surface. My guess that if may work - for a while - but the glue will loosen over time and the edges may begin to peel away.

You could:
a) Risk it
b) Strip completely and repaper
c) Leave it as it is and learn to love it
d) Do away with paper and go for vinyl emulsion which is much quicker when you fancy a change
