Matsui (MCH60) cooker hood - light working, fan not. Help?

The cooker hood fan isn't working, the light still comes on but when any of the fan speed buttons are pressed nothing happens. Working perfectly well then just suddenly stopped, no noise, no smoke, nothing. Pretty basic cooker hood. Any ideas?

mine has failed in the same way- 15 months old and currys will not even offer to take it in and look at it for less than £45

Have stripped it down and found the thermistor (overtemperature protection device embedded in the motor winding) has gone open circuit

question is, where to get another one?

any ideas anyone?
