How to fix a dimmer switch?

Hi,

Our fuse went the other day and once flicked it back up the lights are only working at 30% brightness. My theory is it could be the fuse (or something) in the actual switch and may have to buy a new one. Cant be the wire from the fuse to the light can it?

if it is only the light controlled by the dimmer at 30% it is the dimmer thats faulty.
there is normally no way to repair dimmers they are a sealed unit ,
just buy a new one and swap it .
make sure you have not over loaded the dimmer !
ie. if the dimmer says 250va, that is 250 watts,
