Re fixing my dipod Ikea light. One bulb lights. Other one doesn't?

I did as you suggested and raised the connection to the light bulb. However, that bulb still doesn't light and now it isn't even blinking. Any other suggestions? We looked at the fuse, but there are two lights and only one fuse. since the one light is still burning could it still be the fuse.

Bulbs will not be separately fused - a single fuse will protect the whole assembly & both lamps.

Fact that light *was* flickering suggests original poor connection.

Fact that bulb no longer works suggests either the bulb has now blown or "sprung" connection possibly ended up further away from bulb rather than closer to it - try again.

Only other reasonable possibility is a loose wire somewhere inside the fitting - if this then most probably onto screw-in lamp base.

However, by messing around with the connector spring you have changed the symptom - this strongly suggests that this is where the problem lies.

Continuing good luck...
