i have a thompson rear projection tv and stand by light flashing cant turn ?

i turned my 42"thompson rear projection tv off by its button and unplugged by wall last night but when tried to turn it on this morning the stand by button flashing red and tv wont turn on how can i fix please thank you all help appreciated
