without my memory card clicked into place, it won't allow me to take pictures on the memory card, so they just go onto the camera, and it will only hold 8 pics, where can I take this to get fixed

Take camer to camera shop and get them to check it out.
If the card is new then make sure it's the correct card for your camera.
If you have used the card before then the problem must be in the slot which most likely be the card rejection slide is not catching the lockin.
