Doesnt stay in tune too well should i change the old machine heads and get a fixed bridge set up or is there anything that can be done?????????I have its orignal reciept from 75......The frets could probably do with replacing as they look a bit worn????Im stuck

Sounds like the tuners. It is worth more with the original tuners (I'm guessing Klusens). You may be able to get by with just repacking them with a good lithium grease.

New tuners would be better, but keep the old ones if you're going to sell it.

dont change a thing its gotta be worth more original.store it away and buy an ibanez with a floyd rose.they stay in tune a really long time.
