Why is my fuse box tripping?

I have put a new light in my garage but every time I turn it on it trips the trip switch? It is wired in to the 5 amp MCB that the other garage light is in. If I wire it into one of the 15 amp MCB's I have no problem?

It is the trip switch that is tripping , not the 5 amp MCB?

Yeah youve messed it up a bit there mate and its pulling overcurrent now is a good time to call in the A team before it all goes a little bad. I wouldn't like to even guess where its gone wrong. sorry but there it is

When you say "trip switch" do you mean rcd?
Is your consumer unit split load?
