Can you tell me how to reroof over my flat asbestos roofed garage as it leaks what would I need with regard materials ect and how to go about it

I have over clad with profiled metal sectional corrigated sheets i also added a layer of added insulation. You obviously have to use duckboard to stretch from side wall to side wall don't sit or stand on the roof. You can also choose any colour from a range. You need to batten over the existing roof to be able to fix the sheets (i used 3"x2"to allow for insulation). Then an edged profile all around. If you don't fancy doing it yourself it cost my neighbours about £350 job done. This for a standard sized single stand alone garage Job took about 4-5 hours. If you diy concider all the saftey associated with this type of roof. I will say most of my neighbours have since adopted this as it is a permanant soulution to a leaky roof and looks good.

Eyeshields, Gloves, Quality filter mask and throwaway overalls and a duckboard to stretch from side wall to sie wall don't sit it on the roof it must bear on secton over walls or you'll go through the roof. clean the roof with a short hair stiff yard broom or srcubbing brush.
Tape large holes and or splits with Flashband tape using the primer to bond the flash band laid with heat.
Then using and old soft hair broom coat the roof with Aquaseal Numb 5 three coats allowing each coat to dry. You may have to re-coat in approx 4-5 yrs, just keep eye on it.
Alternative is to have it removed by specialists [Local council must be notified]. for UK residents.
