i bought a mp4 for x mas and now when i try to turn it on it doesnt want to?

i bought a mp4 in x-mas and now it doesnt want to turn on or charge and if if it ever turns on it shows in japanese and when i change it back to english it just shut down.WHAT DO I DI???????????????

I'll first tell u , The japanese word .. will be the meaning of "Bettery Low".Turn Power on u r Mp4 while charging . If it will appear welcome screen choose some icon to enter. if it will OK. u must change ur Mp4 Battery with New One. you'll be ok. I think
