got a thompson 160 hard drive recorder will not respond to the remote crap boxes this is the 3rd box iv had many other say they have the same prob ,any one now why ?????????????????

make sure you press the DTR button on your remote. If it flashes red then it should work if not try it on some 1 elses. Those remotes works on just about any top up tv box eg. Sharp. If it still doesnt work contact top up tv and you'l get a replacement sent out on the condition you have a thomson box which you have. I had a new remote delivered within 3 days.
