I have a thompson 250 recorder and loaded a saved film . The machine froze and now it wont do anything . It will not come off standby and keeps reseting itself . Please help

f-bernardo had it spot on,my thompson 160g was stuck in standby and kept trying to reset,following the instructions brought it back on in "real" standby mode,but all saved recordings were lost,at least it now works,thanks alot f-bernardo.

unplug the box for 20sec. press and hold standby button on the box while plugging it back in. As soon as the amber light flashes let go and press up,down,left and right arrow keys in sequence 3 times. The amber light will stay on and the green light will start flashing. In approx 60 sec the box will turn on by itself.
You might have to try a few times and you might loose some save recordings.

this has happened to me phoned top up tv you need to go into menu screen procedures so will need to phone think its in channel set up caused by recording corrupted i do know engineers code is 1397 then you delete corrupted file hope this helps
