thompson rubbish customer relations?

Like everyone else my thompson box stopped working on 4 May. Tried the method recommended but doesn't work, tried ringing TUTV and after 5 mins for which I'm charged just get cut off. Went to Comet today and was given the same set of instructions and informed that Thompson have told them not to take back any of their boxes because it isn't a fault with the box but with the software. What do I do now??????

Hi My box died a death on the 4th May....... I brought a new one, but since installing it have not recieved any downloads of TUTV or Picture Box Keep being told proccedures to do but nothing......... aghhh

UPDATE:Have managed to get through to Thomson as someone mentioned that even though the box is out of warrenty we still have consumer rights!!!!!!!!
Anyway Thomson are now offering to replace those boxes over a year old for FREE ...but at a cost of £20 for p&p & handling, I personnally have refused to pay as why should the money come from me if the fault lies with them or the broadcasting for uploading a corrupt file...I have given them a week to get back to me to see who was at fault & what other offer they can come up with before I go to Trading Standards!
