karcher k300 washer?

hi my washer has lost pressure and when trigger is released the washer goes hum hum, opened it up to see what the problem was and found a small black plastic piece inside the housing also a spring that seems to fit into this , but i dont know wher this has come from any clues?

if when you let go of the trigger the machine starts and stops but no leaks you will need to replace the pump

if it leaks then you will need to replace another part

stripping and trying to fix rarely works
