My Thomson digital recorder has stopped working. It will not allow me to turn it on any more. It just shows a red light. I have turned it off at the wall and tried to reset it but nothing works. I have done this several times. What can I do?

I was told the same thing and it did work for a while but now it has stopped altogether. This has only manifested itself since the retune of 30th September - do you think this has anything to do with it.

Mine suffered the same fate. The helppdesk advised me to leave it turned off at the mains for half a day, then switch on, wait till the light stops flashing and become a steady yellow/orange. The hold the on/off button (on the box, not the remote) on for at least 30 secs. Their comment was that if this doesn't work, the box is dead.
