Dishwasher is emptying and draining but when it fills up it then stops and just makes a buzzing noise.

If by buzzing you mean it beeps then open the door and count the number of times the start button flashes before it pauses.
The number of flashes indicate the error code.
i.e. 4 flashes seems to be a drain error.

Then search for the right error code or post here to see if someone can help. :)
