My partners laptop seems to have wiped. It was turned on & said it was installing updates & restarted as it normally would then once back in all the stuff he had saved on his desk top has gone and when he trys to go into any drives etc it says the following:
System32/confiig/systemprofile/desktopisnotavailable

please help! :-)
