I was trying to impres my husband and have diagnosed our washer's problem as the inlet valve. I ordered the part online after they verified it was the part for the specific model number. Again, I thought I'd tackle the job myself but the part of the new valve that connects to the tube supplying the water is on the opposite side that the old one was.

Do I have the wrong part? Looks like the only other option would be installing this upside down, that can't be right, can it?
