We have a Whirlpool AWM 1403 washing machine - whatever cycle is chosen, the dial will shift a couple of notches makes a little buzz, then nothing - not even on the B and C spin settings.

The door locks, so you have to return to D to get it open, but nothing else is happening. I have checked water in and drainage out, which appear clear

Can you suggest anything else which may help?
