hot water but no heating?

I have a glowworm fuel saver and I recently switched on my central heating after the summer. It worked fine the first time but the second time it came on and went off after about an hour. When I pushed the timer slightly it click on and I heard the water rushing through to the boiler. Any how it did not stay on for long. The hot water works fine. Is there a problem

I to have replaced the pump but no luck. I can't really afford to pay somebody to come out again so will wait to here if you have any luck with the thermocouple.

I have exactly the same problem. I have replaced the pump and as the I originally thought it was the OH cut out I changed that thermostat as well. No difference however, I have been told on another forum that the thermocouple is the most likely culprit so I now have one on order. If it pans out I shall get back to you.
