my gas fire ignites ok,but will not stay lit,the chimney is not blocked,i can keep it lit for up to 5 mins then when i leave go of the control leaver it goes out !
Your fire needs a new thermocouple fitted - its the metal bulb thing thats heated by the pilot flame. This device keeps the gas supply on - or shuts it off should the flame blow out.
