DIGISTAT RF1?

My digistat rf1 has a display of 17 with a candle to the side of it.I turn my central heating thermostat on and its working for about 4minutes and then cuts out.Would this be a fault on the digistat or with the boiler. If someone could help I would be appreciative.I don't want to call a repair person in case it's nothing.

The battery compartments (2) are underneath the unit - in total 4xAA batteries

I've got the same problem, looked up on internet as lost the user manual and it's the batteries that need replacing. Problem is I dont know how to get to the batteries to replace them.

Anyone know?

I had the same issue. Problem is with the digisat. It's telling your boiler to switch off. The batteries may need changing in the RF1 or it may just need a 'handshake' from the SCR, press buttons 1 then 2 together. If there's a red alarm light it means it's receiving no signal from the RF1. I played about with mine for 10 minutes and it seems to be working fine now, fingers crossed...
