terracotta tile roof with moss etc. has a few leaks?

cannot see any broken tiles, but still get water leaks. old moss on tiles and tiles are unstable fit also. any way of cleaning the tiles, perhaps a type of acid/bleach?

Two ways if diy minded. Dry scrape it off, or pressure spray from top down work the other way and you'll have a loft full of water. Pressure cleaning, is effective but as you are aware a messy job.
But check for more replies someone may have something up their sleeve I don'lt know about.
