thinking of insulating my static caravan underside, how good is the 4mm rolls of insulation, or dfo i need a thicker type of insulation

i have insulated my caravan with 4inch kingspan two years ago leaving the airvents clear but boxed in the sides completly bot put in two air vents in to the wood allowing the air to move around then we have put 15mm insulated plaster board on the inside leaving the airvents clear and redecorated this as made a big improvment insulate alpipe properly even the p trap under the sink as to this day we havnt had any problems

Hi, suggest you find the serial manufacturers number and contact them and ask if your model is a "winterised model. All winterised models have undefloor & ceiling insullation and double glazing as standard. If your boiler is for central heating it probably is a winterised model. If its a Willerby like mine they are very helpful.

Did Steve receive any guidance in reply to his question? I have a static caravan with yellow 'roof' type insulation underneath it, held in place by heavy duty polythene and I wonder whether this work was carried out by the previous owners or whether it was manufactured like this? However, wildlife has managed to tear the plastic and has been 'stealing' the insulation, so I am wondering whether to remove the whole lot, rather than trying to repair it.
