Desiree' here. I have exactly the same problem. Mine is an MP3/MP4 telefunken Player. Posted my question a while ago with no answer. Don't know if we'll ever get one.

Good luck though. Some one told me to just buy a new one. Less hassles. Except I have lots of memories from mine....
