My Toshiba Satellite L300-1BV laptop has suddenly developed an out of focus distorted display and the manufacturers warranty has just run out , has anyone any ideas . The laptop has Windows Vista Home Premium installed on it and it came without a recovery disc. I recently did a HDD recovery on it several weeks ago and that seemed to help somewhat but now things have gotten worse .

I have the L 500 Series. What I've done was I installed the Toshiba help and support Disk. Mine came with a backup disk and I was able to download the security options and devices that came with it. What I'd sugest is you write to Toshiba and ask them to send you a disk which does support your Toshiba laptop. Or you can dowload this from the Toshiba website on the internet. I have mine 3 weeks and I've had no problems as such yet I paid €550 Irish Euro for mine.
