Sealing?

I have rubbed down an old coffee table back to the bare wood, before I put beeswax on it should I be putting on a sealer to prevent water marks from cups etc damaging it

I use teak oil - couple of applications a few days apart. Adds life to the wood - you might not even bother with the waxing afterwards - it will look so good - and it's less work too.
