How can I repair my Bathroom extractor fan?

Hi, I have a Vent Axia extractor fan in my bathroom. A sound like the start of a fire happened whilst the fan was on. Then, the whole thing tripped and I had to reset it at the fusebox. I also changed the fuse and the same thing has happened?

What has happened?

Its obviously overheated and caught fire. Turn the power off, disconnect it and buy a new one.
