how can i get my wireless to turn on advent laptp 9617?

my laptop has suddenley lost wireless press the button and theirs nothing there cannot identify the wireless card

Settings / Control Panel / Network Connections

You should see a wireless icon - if you don't then you probably need to reinstalll the device driver

If you see a wireless icon - right click on it and select View Available Wireless Networks (you may see several) connect to your own.
