I have a color television Trinitron 32" KV-27HFR that keeps turning off by itself. I turn it back on and then seconds or minutes later, it turns off. I think it is a good tv and I'd hate to throw it out. I'd rather fix it. Can you give me some suggestions?
I am having the same problem accept I am not getting any video at all. Are you getting sound and video?

check you have not got the sleep timer activated in some menu somewhere.
failing that it could be a cold solder joint which loses contact as the set warms up.
Time the period between switching on and the set shutting off - if it is the same each time, then it is probably the timer!
