I do both. undo front engine mount & one on the gearbox (from the car body), jack up the gearbox a little using a block of wood on the jack to help protect the gearbox. undo subframe bolts about half way (loosen the opposite side aswell) that should give you enough room to remove the bolt

You have to lower the subframe on that side or lift the gearbox up
