how do I remove stubborn programs?

I downloaded a couple of games off the net which I didnt like so rather foolishly I shredded them instead of using the add/remove progs. Now when I look on the add/remove list they are still there, but when I try to remove them it says "file does not exist cannot remove" Im sure theres an easy way to take them off but it baffles me! please could you shed a little light. Cheers.

Search the net for Ccleaner.exe, it is available as a free download. One of the many things it can do is to remove unwanted programs and also remove the names of any programs left behind as in your situation.

It depends on your Operating System and you don't say what it is. Some OS/Application combos will have made Registry entried and goodness knwos what. Removing them can be dangerous. My suggestion is that you get a cleanup program. I'm sure that if you put a new post under Operating Systems someone will suggest a suitable product.
