your hard drive could be dead, my dell was saying (ctrl alt delete ) on start up , i tryed to restall xp with the disk, and it said hard drive not found, " so i got it tested and it was dead , got a new hard drive on line for £50 . and workrd fine , the labtop was 2 years old , go to Utube and look up the model you have and you will see were the hard drive is , it should be in the side of labtop , 2 screws in it , and it slides out . good luck ,,,
