how do i bond a ripped nylon dog lead seat belt type nylon?

My pet dog has a annoying habbit of chewing through his lead totally in half he is only a year old and has done this to 7 leads already at £15 a go . I want to know if there is a way to bond nylon to nylon strongly can anyone suggest what to do it is the part with the clip attatched to it on a swivell to go on collar how is it done originally in factory ? its either glued or heat sealed laid over to create loops at either end

contact adhesive used correctly will work but for a total solution cut up a coke can and wrap the aloy around the lead and use pop or buficated rivets straight through the lot
ugly but effective

You could sew or glue....if glue, get the right one and put the two halves in a vice for 24 hrs to set the glue. Seems your main problem is a dog one, not a repair one. Have some-one sit with the dog to blow a whislte or distract him when he starts to chew. Failing that, do very short distances with your dog, slowly extending but stop as soon as he starts chewing. Takes time, but is better than what you have just now.
