might be a really simple question to some but ex took the remote?

ex took the remote after i kicked him out as revenge, how can i get the universal replacement to work the in built dvd player. I have programmed it to work with the TV bit but it wont work with the dvd bit. its a nuisance. can anyone help?

The manual should have a code for the brand of tv it is. Find the code for the DVD player, also...under the brand. They're probably two different codes (DVD vs TV). Hope this helps.
