Which Boiler ?

I am going to have my old combi boiler replaced, but I can't decide which new boiler to go for.

I have narrowed my choices to two boilers:

Vaillant Ecotec Plus 837

and

Worcester Bosch Greenstar 30 CDI

Can anyone please tell me which one is better and more importantly, more reliable ?

i.e. Which one will last longer before it breaks down ?

Thank you

I would go for the Vailant as it has a better hot water out put.
But Both boilers are very good.
Cost to fitt About 260.00 inc vat plus you would need TRV,s fitting if you do not have them.
Based in durham will travell .25p/ml

Thanks Ian.

How much would you charge to install the boiler ?

they're both really good boilers and will last a long time provided that they are properly installed and serviced.

i'd personally go for the worcester, i've been working on then for about 5 years now and i've only ever had to repair 4 or 5 in that time due to a fault with the boiler, had to sort out a good few more than that as they weren't installed properly. not bad considering i see around 10 a week.

the vaillant's are also good but i'm not quite so familiar with them, i do know that they are very reliable however.

the most important thing with both boilers is that they are installed exactly as the manufacturer states - to the letter, and that you get a reputable person / company to come and check or re-set the combustion ratio's annually.
