EA error equates to ignition faults, 'not sensing gas'.
When you say you had your meter checked, is the governer (meter regulator) new?
It's the silver-ish valve connecting on top of the meter on the left hand side, these do (very occasionally) cause problems, locking down when gas is pulled through. Not allowing a working pressure at the meter of 21mb
A more unusual direction, but one I have had in the past, is a blocked/partially blocked condense, either the trap in the boiler (fills with a grey sludge), or blocked pipework/outlet.
This would also cause an EA fault as the boiler 'baffles' out because the POC can't escape.
Partial blockages can cause random EA faults (over a time the condense clears allowing boiler to fire, until it fills up again)
