You'll probably find the pins in the Cf slot are not in line. It might be the card itself so try another card too. Try resetting the camera to factory default. Failing that getting it to work have a view of the monolta web site. There's a phone number for Minolta themselves and their repairers here in the UK. They are helpful people but it'll probably mean you sending the camera for a repair in the end. Allow up to £100 (normally a max!) for the repair.
