how can I get proper espresso coffee?

I have DeLonghi Caffe Nero BCO264 Espresso & Coffee Maker. I am not getting espresso ...no layer of espresso froth coming just normal black coffee from espresso side of machine

Did you froth the Milk????? Put milk into the Stainless Jug, and froth it.. then pour over the top of the coffee....
