Other forum fixya.com says 'format the storage', but this is very unlikely to solve the problem.
There are different kinds of music file formats - MIDI, MP3, WAV, WMA, ASF etc.
Manual says
.MP3 8-320 kbps
.WMA 5-384 kbps
which are the commonest formats. The quality range is wide enough for almost all purposes.
Mine even works with files named *.ASF that are really .WMA inside !
Most likely problem is the manual says 'Constant Bit Rate' - your files may be 'Variable Bit Rate' (VBR) ?
That basically saves disk space in quiet bits.
