My overflow pipe is constantly dripping ?

My overflow pipe at the back of the house is constantly dripping I have changed the the stop cock in the tank that is in the loft and has not made any difference. please help

If the ballcock is adjusted correctly for the water level, it indicates that water may be transferring in the hot water cylinder via an internal leak between the primary and secondary systems. If that is the case, you need a new hot water cylinder. Hope this helps!

Logically - water enters the tank via a ballcock valve,yes? If there is no other way to introduce excess water then the valve must be letting water in, new or not! Go up, take some water out,hold up ball valve as if tank is full and see if water still gets thru valve.
