Hard drive partitions?

I have a hard drive (80Gb sata) that was in my old desktop PC. I have deleted the data from it but it has three partitions on it, how do I delete these? I want to use the drive for backing up my photo's and would prefer to have one single drive, rather than all these partitions.

In the disk managment, sellect the last partition from that drive and delete it. Repeat for the second one.
Delete the now empty extended partition.
Extend the primary partition to the total available space.
Format the remaining partition.

It depends on your OS
Basically, Control panel/admin tools/ disk management.
In there, you will find windows version of partition tools. But depends on OS as to where, so without knowing that I cannot do more
