I purchased a Samsung 40" LE40R88BD Aug. 2007 Last month had the same problem with the TV turning itself n and off a few times before turning on. Now there is no sound and no backing light so the picture is very dark. Has anyway had this problem....Are these related to the initial problem.....VERY DISAPPOINTED with Samsung quality....
