DONT KNOW IF THE PROBLEM IS WITH MY MONITER OR COMPUTOR?
WHEN I TURN MY DELL DESKTOP (DIMENSIONS 4400) ON, THE MONITER (ITS A VIEWSONIC A72F)THE GREEN LIGHT COMES ON THEN AUTOMATICALLY GOES INTO THE SHUT OFF MODE (IT SAYS "OFF MODE IN 5 SECONDS" THEN GOES BLACK. ANY IDEAS? THANKS

I've got the same problem now. I changed monitors and the same thing happens. I f I turn off the power at the socket and try again it works sometimes. It's a problem with the the computer. I'll keep looking.

Can you try another monitor which will prove which it is. Could be a number of things including a virus , are you able to start in SAFE mode?
